Company Overview
diaDexus, Inc., a privately held biotechnology company, is focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel, patent protected diagnostic and therapeutic products with high clinical value. diaDexus utilizes genomics and bioinformatics to identify numerous disease-associated molecular targets.

In July 2003, diaDexus received FDA clearance to market the PLAC™ test as an aid in the prediction of coronary heart disease risk (CHD). The PLAC™ test determines levels of Lp-PLA2 in the blood, which has been shown to increase coronary heart disease risk, the leading cause of death in America.

As one of the first companies to recognize the potential of genomics to generate valuable diagnostics tests, the company has filed patent applications on more than 5,000 molecular targets. diaDexus currently has 13 potential novel diagnostic product candidates in preclinical development and has conducted preclinical validation on five potential therapeutic antibody targets.
