Galapagos
Galapagos is a discovery company focused on
the identification of disease modifying drug targets by functionally screening
human disease models and the subsequent progression of these targets into drug
discovery. Our research activities encompass programs in osteoporosis,
rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and Alzheimer's disease. Proprietary target
sets resulting from these programs are used for the development of novel drugs,
combined with selected out-licensing and partnering of projects during
development.
Galapagos provides access to its siRNA knockdown and cDNA knock-in adenoviral
technology through its services division
Galadeno. This target discovery and validation platform has formed
the basis of numerous partnerships with leading pharmaceutical, nutraceutical
and biotech companies.
