Rosetta Genomics  is a private, Israel-based genomics company, which has discovered a large number of novel microRNA genes^[1] using a proprietary bioinformatic approach. This discovery and its associated technologies have the potential to unearth unique therapeutic and diagnostic agents for an immense range of diseases and could eventually lead to a profound new understanding of human genetics. Rosetta has filed patents of unprecedented scope for these novel genes and is licensing their usage to large pharmaceutical companies for drug and diagnostic development.

Major scientific and technological breakthroughs are happening at Rosetta Genomics. In recent months, we have discovered 105 novel human microRNAs and 10 novel virus microRNAs using novel tools that Rosetta developed specifically to detect and validate microRNAs. In addition, Rosetta Genomics has nearly completed the discovery process for another large group of novel microRNAs as hundreds of Rosetta's predicted microRNAs make their way through the validation pipeline.
