Tranzyme is focused on underserved disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including post-operative ileus, gastroparesis and functional GI disorders. These disorders are associated with disruptions of the diverse control mechanisms between the GI tract and the central nervous system. Tranzyme is exploiting GI functional pathways to develop unique therapeutic agents that act directly at the site of pathophysiological disturbance.
