Careers  Senior Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist with a PhD degree and experience in molecular biology and cell culture.  In particular you should have proven expertise in heterologous protein expression, preferably using mammalian cells, and in the analysis of gene expression using reporter systems.  Experience in protein biochemistry and immunological protein detection methods, such as immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry, would also be an advantage.  The work involves the development, testing and optimisation of novel vectors and strategies for the expression of multisubunit ion channels.  Prior knowledge of ion channel biology would therefore be an advantage but is not essential.  The role provides an opportunity to lead an exciting area of research while developing your practical and intellectual abilities in a highly dynamic and interactive environment. We are therefore also looking for good team-working and communication skills.
